Always a mover and a shaker, Chelsey fell in love with athletics and fitness at a very early age with the sweet combination of gymnastics and Mousercise.
Finding her footing at a very young age as a competitive gymnast, she learned the importance of diligence, goals, longevity, nutrition and commitment. She continued to explore the her love of athletics through soccer and lacrosse—continuing to learn the demands that are required for an athlete.
It wasn't until the fork in the road was placed to pursue gymnastics at a competitive level or move on. The easiest transition that was presented to her was dance—and there was no turning back after her first ballet class. Soon, she began on the track to become a professional dancer.
Chelsey has studied at The Ailey School, Boston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Lines Ballet and received a BFA from The Boston Conservatory. She was in the original cast of Cirque Du Soilel’s Paramour, and has been seen in the First National Tours of Memphis and Evita.
Her desire and curiosity to learn more about the body continued and lead her to her first certification by the name of Surfset—a workout based on the athletics of surfing, challenging the core and flexibility with minor use of weights.
This was just the beginning. She was soon introduced to a new barre workout, Flybarre at Flywheel Sports. Soon after her first class, she began training and became an instructor training clients in a boutique style of group fitness as well as privately.
With the desire to challenge, and her detailed attention alignment and posture, she often left her group fitness class with the feeling of not enough time or arms to adjust. On top of that, she realized her pregnant clients had the hunger for a challenge, but often got lost in the shuffle of a group fitness environment.
Khori and Chelsey discovered that there is no need for the “lost in the shuffle” attitude. There should be a workout dedicated to the needs and goals of pregnant women throughout their pregnancy.
No pregnancies are created equal and we strive to create a customized workout plan focusing on the technique of Belly Breathing, and focusing on the muscle imbalance in the body—making it the strongest vessel for the mom to be.
Chelsey is a certified personal trainer as well as a Pre/Post Natal Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is incredibly excited to bring the brand of LSF to the world—challenging and supporting one pregnancy at a time.
